With the storm's track well to the west of the St. Lawrence River, warm air works in over the region in the morning, with temperatures above freezing everywhere by midday. The day won't be a complete washout. Shower activity becomes widely scattered, but areas of drizzle and fog may persist as high-pressure east of Bermuda pumps moisture in. A glimpse of the sun is possible in the afternoon over the south. If that happens, temperatures may rise into the 60s for interior York County. A cold front passes through MONDAY NIGHT, bringing another round of showers and possible THUNDER to the south. The frontal boundary may run into a roadblock in the Gulf of Maine, keeping the threat of showers continuing into Tuesday morning for DownEast areas. However, it should end by mid-morning for the Passamaquoddy Bay region. PATCHY BLACK ICE is possible along the Quebec border and western mountains as temperatures are expected to drop below freezing overnight. TUESDAY will see increasing sun as a gusty northwest wind develops. The wind will blow out the remaining clouds, and dry air will move in. The breeze will persist into early Wednesday morning. WEDNESDAY starts mainly in sunny conditions with high pressure. Clouds will be on the increase in the afternoon ahead of our next junky mix on the way Wednesday night into Thursday morning. OUTLOOK INTO MID-APRIL indicates unsettled weather continuing with junk storm threats, with temperatures running below normal.
