 THURSDAY - A cold front exits the region to the southeast mid to late morning. A secondary cold front approaches the area on its heels, which may pop an isolated shower over the north around midday, then bring a chance for scattered showers with a possible storm in the afternoon into the evening.
THURSDAY NIGHT - The northwest breeze filtering in causes dew points to fall, bringing one of the cooler nights the region has experienced in a while. Any clouds around fizzle out, and temperatures fall back into the 40s to low 50s. FRIDAY – A seasonably cool day for late June with mainly sunny and breezy conditions is expected to wrap up the work week. Highs for the day range in the upper 60s for the mountains and north to the mid-70s south and east. A northwest breeze relaxes late in the day. THE WEEKEND-- High pressure moves offshore late Friday, returning a southwest flow. This brings overnight low temperatures up a few degrees into the 50s for most areas to start Saturday. A warm front approaches from the west, increasing clouds as Saturday rolls along. At this point, showers hold off until late afternoon or early evening. Temperatures rise a smidge into the 70s for most areas away from the shorelines. Showers are likely from Saturday night into Sunday morning, with overnight lows in the mid-50s to low 60s. To start Sunday, the region will be in the warm sector, with humid conditions as dew points rise into the upper 60s to low 70s. Temperatures spike into the 80s across much of the region before a cold front passes through Sunday afternoon, which could bring showers along with strong to severe storms into the evening. EXTENDED OUTLOOK - A few showers are possible over southwestern areas on Monday. Outlook through midweek appears mainly dry, with temperatures slightly above normal.
