Thankfully, the wind won't be as strong as Sunday, but the dew points will dry. Breezy northwest airflow conditions in the north and mountains to start, with the wind slacking off. Onshore flow in the afternoon will cool the coastal plain. Clouds increase over the south and west later in the day. An early evening shower is possible for the southwest interior. SCATTERED SHOWERS MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY may dampen the topsoil with ±¼" of rain. Showers end early over southwestern areas Tuesday morning, north and east by mid-afternoon. A cold front brings widely scattered showers in the afternoon and evening. BREEZY & DRY CONDITIONS raise fire danger concerns for Wednesday. The northwest wind may gust in the 20-30 mph range, and dew points in the 30s will quickly dry out Tuesday's light rainfall. NEXT RAIN CHANCE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY. The opening odds of total rainfall appear ±½", which will help take an edge off the fire danger risk. Whatever rain comes will be welcome, as Sunday appears to be another breezy one with low dew points. Fire danger may increase once again as we head into early next week.
