MONDAY: One more day of dry, comfortable conditions for the state before the pattern flips. High pressure riding along the trough to the northeast and the ridge to the southwest keeps boundaries to the north and south at bay. Far northern areas may get a sprinkle / light shower in the afternoon. The breeze for most areas appears to be a bit lighter, other than the coast and the north. MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY: As high pressure departs, a southwest flow develops, and humidity builds. Showers with a potential rumble of thunder move in. Activity breaks out late evening in western areas, and it overspreads southern, central, and eastern regions overnight into Tuesday morning, with northern areas staying dry. Rain could be locally heavy over the west, central, and east, bringing a localized flash flooding risk. Scattered showers become isolated as the afternoon progresses into the evening. WEDNESDAY: At this point, think of Tuesday on repeat. Isolated to scattered showers with thunder potential passing through during the day. It does not appear to be as rainy as Tuesday, but unsettled.
THURSDAY: With dew points back up to juicy levels pushing into the 70s, it will be an eye-to-the-sky day with the potential for strong to severe storms. It’s a bit early to nail it down with certainty, but it is something to stay updated on. FRIDAY: Another round of showers with storm potential to wrap up the week. The best chance appears over the north, west, central, and east. Time will tell if that idea holds up. WEEKEND: Overall, shower chances appear limited, but the sauna is expected to be turned back on with heat and humidity on high by Sunday. Have a great day! - Mike |
