Today's update is presented by everyone who supports this page through financial contributions and those who pass along what I do. I am most grateful for your support. For ways to contribute ► https://www.pinetreeweather.com/donate.html A windy EasterEASTER SUNDAY: Early morning rain showers over the north and east as a secondary cold front moves out. As the air column clears, a snow shower is possible for the higher terrain. WIND ADVISORY and FIRE DANGER are statewide concerns. A bone-dry northwest wind will crank as low pressure over the Canadian Maritimes intensifies. The wind will lead to isolated power outages from blowing tree debris and increased wildfire danger due to low relative humidity values. USE CAUTION with flammable materials. The wind speeds drop Sunday night as the low heads east and high pressure moves in. MONDAY: High pressure sits over the region to start and brings a mainly sunny start. As the high heads out to sea, a southerly flow sets up, which increases clouds and brings a chilly breeze to the shorelines in the afternoon, thanks to the 40° ocean. MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY: A weak clipper passes through the region, bringing hit-or-miss rain showers overnight into Tuesday morning. Shower activity ends over the south by around daylight. The west, north, and east dodge shower potential during the day. As the frontal boundary passes through, all areas may see a light shower as a parting gift late in the day into Tuesday evening. Expect an onshore breeze to keep the coastal counties' temperatures on the raw side. EXTENDED OUTLOOK: WEDNESDAY is expected to be another breezy affair as the northwest wind picks up, which may again raise fire danger levels. High pressure moves in for THURSDAY and bumps temperatures up a few degrees. Afternoon showers are possible on FRIDAY for the south and west. Rain is possible statewide on SATURDAY. A breezy, cool day is expected next SUNDAY. Current observations and more details are on The WallThank you for your support of PTW!Always have MULTIPLE ways to receive weather alerts.
