Warm, summer like conditions with a chance of thunderstorms on Tuesday and WednesdayTemperatures will drop down to the 50s statewide tonight, with clouds lingering throughout the night and into the early hours of Tuesday. A warm front with also pass through tonight, bringing a southerly flow and a chance of light rain along the coast. With an onshore flow, widespread fog is very likely as well. Clouds are going to dissipate as the day on Tuesday continues, allowing temperatures to reach the low 80s in most of the state and the coastal plain/shoreline reaching the mid to upper 70s. The cold front along with this system is not far behind the warm front, and will be approaching northern Maine Tuesday afternoon. This brings a chance for thunderstorms in the far northern regions of the state during the afternoon. The chance for thunderstorms/showers will liner overnight and into Wednesday. Wednesday will feature some very above-average temperatures in the mid-upper 80s throughout most of the state, with upper 70s to low 80s along the shoreline. It's definitely starting to feel like summer! The thunderstorm threat continues into Wednesday across the central and northern regions of the state. Anything that does pop-up will be short lived though. Wednesday night, most of the state will drop down to the upper 50s-low 60s, while the shoreline will drop to the low 50s. Low stratus clouds will enter the state on Thursday and hence hinder temperatures into the mid 80s. Dew points will also be on the rise on Thursday, so expect muggy conditions. Temperatures will drop into the low 60s throughout most of the state overnight, while northern regions of the state will linger around the mid 60s. Rainy weekend and cool-downA cold front will push precipitation into the region on Friday and pass through on Saturday. The bulk of the rain will occur overnight Friday and into Saturday afternoon. Showers will linger into early Sunday. Temperatures will drop behind the passing of the front and only reach the mid 60s on Sunday. Remember: Just because its warm outside doesn't mean the water is too!It's definitely supposed to be warm this week, but don't forget that ocean temperatures are only around 10 degrees Celsius or 50 degrees Fahrenheit off the coast of Maine! Be careful if you want to enjoy some time down the beach. Stay informed!
