The recovery from the Late October Gale of 2017 continues. As of 8 AM Central Maine Power reported outages down to 219,561 and Emera Maine has cut their number to 45, 175. This will be a good day for the power restoration efforts. At 8 AM, high pressure was situated near Cape Cod. That has caused a southwesterly flow aloft which will bring a few clouds into the region today. There could be some isolated sprinkles or very light showers mainly in the mountains and north as upper level energy moves through Quebec. Highs for the day range in the 40s and 50s. Tonight, showers over spread most areas of the state beginning late evening and into the wee hours of Thursday. The higher elevations may see some flurries or light snow with little accumulation. Lows to start Thursday range in the 30s north to the upper 40s south.
