Isolated storms on Thursday

Picture
The SPC has put southern portions of Maine in a marginal risk, while the rest of Maine is in a general thunderstorm risk. Showers/storms are expected to roll through the state tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow night. Some of these storms could be severe and feature damaging winds. Make sure to keep an eye on local news tomorrow!

NAM forecasted precipitation from Thursday at 8am to Friday at 2am
Thursday will likely start with low clouds, drizzle and patchy fog along the coast and into the coastal plain. Showers will move into the region around 2pm and impact mainly the central/northern portions of the state.  Like mentioned above, some of these showers could be thunderstorms and some could be severe. Otherwise, skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day.
Picture
As for temperatures, most of the state will be in the low 70s with southwestern areas a little higher. Winds will be from the south, so a decent seabreeze will set up, keeping temperatures fairly low along the shoreline. Dew points will be in the 60s tomorrow so it will also be fairly humid.

Temperatures will fall into the 50s overnight. Fog is likely in Downeast areas, even extending into northern areas.

Clear out and warm up for Friday

Picture
Temperatures will warm back up into the 80s  along central regions of the state, with 70s in surrounding areas. The front that passed will have also dropped dew points into the 40s and 50s, so no humidity today! Skies will be mostly sunny, so it's looking like a nice day out there!

Chance of showers over the weekend

Picture
An upper-level low will cut-off and swing through the region on Saturday, The location and timing of such is still uncertain though. However, there is a chance of showers will impact the southern and western portions of the state. As the time grows closer, we'll have more updates on the situation so you can start to plan your weekend.
